As important as it is for our campers to have structured activities with well planned goals and skill instruction, it is equally important for children of all ages to have time to play on their own without set rules and guidelines. Playgrounds of all sizes and shapes can be found scattered throughout the grounds at West Hills to accommodate these needs.

Within the many playgrounds in camp children are encouraged to pretend, role play, make new friends, and/or quietly enjoy some time alone. Tree houses, airplanes, fire trucks and other creative play areas provide the comfortable and fun atmosphere needed to allow children to develop these important life skills.
